~. <br />Council Minutes of 8/5/2008 <br />~W. <br />k <br />Ordinance No. 2008-105 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />An ordinance amending Section 167.021 of Chapter 167 of the Administrative Code <br />entitled "Department of Human Resources," for the purpose of creating a second <br />"Employment Specialist" position in the Department of Human Resources, and declaring <br />an emergency. <br />MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS <br />President Kennedy announced a special Council meeting would be held at 6:55 p.m. on <br />Monday, August 11, 2008 regarding a resolution in opposition to the service cuts <br />proposed by the GCRTA. The meeting will be held in the caucus room. <br />Councilman Gareau scheduled a Finance Committee meeting for 7 p.m. on Monday, <br />August 11, 2008. On the agenda will be Ordinances 2008-92, 2008-93, 2008-94, <br />2008-95, 2008-98, 2008-104, 2008-105; Resolution 2008-97; an Engineering Dept. <br />analysis; a finance review. An executive session to discuss pending litigation will be <br />held at the beginning of the meeting. The Mayor, Finance Director, Safety Director and <br />Law Director are asked to attend. <br />Councilman Barker reminded everyone of the previously scheduled BZD Committee <br />meeting for 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 6, 2008 to discuss proposed group homes <br />on MacKenzie Road. The Mayor, Safety Director, Law Director, and a representative <br />from Bethesda Lutheran homes were invited to attend. <br />Councilman Barker scheduled a BZD Committee meeting for 7 p.m. on Tuesday, August <br />12, to be held in the Council Chambers to discuss the proposed Biddulph Trail <br />development and the outside patio for Slam Jams. (The discussion of the proposed <br />change to the judgment entry for P. P. No. 236-11-009 has been removed from the <br />agenda.) The Mayor, Law Director, Planning Director, and City Engineer are asked to <br />attend as well as invited guests who have been notified. <br />Council Member Dailey Jones scheduled a Streets & Transportation Committee meeting <br />for 8:45 p.m. on Tuesday, August 12, 2008 to be held in the Council Chambers to discuss <br />Resolution 2008-99. The Service Director is asked to attend. <br />Councilman Kearney scheduled a Public Safety, Health & Welfare Committee meeting <br />for 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday, August 19, to discuss a liquor permit transfer. <br />With the agenda being completed and there being no further business to come before <br />Council, President Kennedy adjourned the meeting at 10:02 p.m. <br />~~ ~ ~ ~ <br />arbara L.
