~.~ <br />~~ <br />Council Minutes of 8/5/2008 <br />Ordinance No. 2008-100 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />An ordinance authorizing the acceptance of a sanitary sewer easement for North Olmsted <br />Towne Center and as further described by utility dedication plat, and declaring an <br />emergency. Councilman Barker moved for suspension of the rules requiring three <br />readings and committee review. The motion was seconded by Councilman Mahoney and <br />passed unanimously. Councilman Barker moved for adoption and noted the legislation <br />had been discussed in caucus. The motion was seconded by Councilman Mahoney and <br />passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 2008-100 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 2008-101 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />A resolution authorizing the Director of Human Resources to apply for a Drug Free <br />Workplace Program Safety Grant from the Qhio Bureau of Workers Compensation; <br />further authorizing the Mayor to accept the grant, if awarded, and to execute a contract <br />with the Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation; and declaring an emergency. <br />Councilman Mahoney moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings and <br />committee review for the reasons stated in caucus. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Ryan and passed unanimously. Councilman Mahoney moved far adoption. <br />The motion was seconded by Councilman Ryan and passed unanimously. Resolution Into. <br />2008-101 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2008-102 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />An ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into arevenue-generating contract with <br />Gateway Recycling Products; and amending Section 111.01 of the Administrative Code <br />for the purpose of exempting such contracts from its application. Councilman Mahoney <br />moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings and committee review for the <br />reasons stated in caucus. The motion was seconded by Council Member Jones and <br />passed unanimously. Councilman Mahoney moved for adoption. The motion was <br />seconded by Council Member Jones and passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 2008-102 <br />adopted. <br />Resolution No. 2008-103 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />A resolution authorizing the Mayor of the city of North Olmsted to enter into an <br />agreement with the member communities of the Westshore Council of Governments <br />("WCOG"), the Westshore Enforcement Bureau ("WEB"), and the city of Cleveland, <br />providing for the interchange of bomb squad and SWAT services between and amongst <br />the various participating cities, and declaring an emergency. Councilman Mahoney <br />moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings and committee review for the <br />reasons stated in caucus, which were mainly timeliness. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Kearney and passed unanimously. Councilman Mahoney moved for <br />adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Kearney and passed unanimously. <br />Resolution No. 2008-103 adapted. <br />Ordinance No. 2008-104 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />An ordinance amending the organizational chart of the Wastewater Treatment section of <br />the Division of Public Works in the Department of Public Service in order to deliver <br />services from the said division in a more efficient and economical manner. <br />17 <br />
