Council Minutes of 5/20/2008 Resolution No. 2008-78 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. A resolution authorizing the Director of Planning to proceed with negotiations for the sale of city-owned real property located on Butternut Ridge Road, identified as Permanent Parcel Number 236-19-005 and consisting of a vacant lot zoned for residential use; further authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract to sell the real property; and declaring an emergency. Resolution No. 2008-79 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. A resolution authorizing the Chief of Police to apply for Law Enforcement Grant funds from the State of Ohio for Drug Abuse Resistance Education (DARE) for fiscal 2008- 2009 and, if the application is granted further authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the State of Ohio, or the appropriate State of Ohio law enforcement agency, to accept said grant funding on behalf of the city, and declaring an emergency. Resolution No. 2008-80 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. A resolution extending for an additional one year period the city's contract with Silverlode Consulting Corp. for the purpose of providing economic development consulting services to the city, and declaring an emergency. An ordinance amending Section 135.06 ("Petty Cash Fund") of the Administrative Code in order to increase the authorized funds in the cash drawer in the Finance Department, and declaring an emergency. Ordinance No. 2008-83 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. An ordinance providing for the submission to the electors of the City of North Olmsted of an amendment to paragraph (a) of Article III, Section 5 to eliminate the Charter requirement that appointments and removals of department heads by the Mayor be subject to the consent or approval of City Council; and declaring an emergency.
