Special Council Minutes of 4/22/2008 <br />been able to pay fire fighters. Once Council gives him the authorization to sign, he will <br />sign that contract. He spoke to the Finance Director earlier today, and it is hoped to be <br />able to execute those payments at the beginning of the month of May so the fire fighters <br />get their salary. Finance Director said we are going to be able to give them just the <br />timing on the calculation of the retro. We are going to give them their new rate the first <br />pay in May, and the second pay in May we will be able to calculate their retro and get <br />that to them. Councilman Barker ask~l what the amounts would be. Mrs. Copfer said <br />the retro amounts have not been calculated yet, but she will let Council know when they <br />are. She noted the amount was estimated in the budget. Councilman Gareau moved for <br />adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Barker and passed unanimously. <br />Resolution No. 2008-60 adopted. <br />Councilman Mahoney made a motion to excuse the absence of Mr. Kennedy and Mr. <br />Ryan. The motion was seconded by Councilman Orlowski and passed unanimously. <br />With the agenda being completed, President Pro Tem Dailey Jones adjourned the special <br />Council meeting at 8:31 p.m. <br />arbara L.
