<br />Orlowski, yes; Ryan, no; Jones, yes; Barker, yes. The motion passed with six yes votes and one
<br />no vote. Councilman Kearney moved for adoption, and the motion was seconded by
<br />Councilman Gareau. Roll call: Kearney, yes; Gareau, yes; Jones, yes; Orlowski, yes; Ryan, no,
<br />with comment. He personally supports this, but doesn't think he was voted into office to be
<br />speaking for the residents of Ward I. He cannot continue to vote as if he has a hundred percent
<br />approval from Ward I. Roll call continued: Mahoney, yes; Barker, yes. The motion passed with
<br />six yes votes and one no vote. Resolution No. 2008-50 adopted.
<br />Resolution No. 2008-51 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. A
<br />resolution declaring World Autism Day in North Olmsted as April 2, 2008, and supporting the
<br />efforts of Autism Speaks, a 501 (c) (3) organization dedicated to increasing awareness of autism
<br />spectrum disorders, funding research, and advocating for the needs of affected families, and
<br />declaring an emergency. Councilman Mahoney moved for suspension of the rules requiring
<br />three readings and committee review. The motion was seconded by Councilman Barker and
<br />passed unanimously. Councilman Mahoney moved for adoption, and the motion was seconded
<br />by Councilman Barker. Roll call: Mahoney, yes; Barker, yes; Ryan, yes, with comment. He
<br />feels very confident that every person living in Ward I certainly would support such a great cause
<br />as this. Roll call continued: Orlowski, yes; Kearney, yes; Jones, yes; Gareau, yes. The motion
<br />passed unanimously. Resolution No. 2008-51 adopted.

<br />Councilman Barker scheduled a BZD Committee meeting for 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 8, 2008
<br />to discuss Ordinance Nos. 2048-1$, 200$-36, 2008-37, 2008-44 and Planning & Design
<br />Commission items regarding the BP and T-Mobile development plans. The Planning Director,
<br />Law Director and Safety Director are asked to attend.
<br />Councilman Gareau scheduled a Finance Committee meeting for 8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 8,
<br />2008 to discuss Ordinance 2008-49. The Finance Director and Human Resources Director are
<br />asked to attend.
<br />Council Member Dailey Jones scheduled a Streets & Transportation Committee meeting for 8:45
<br />p.m. on Tuesday, April 8, 2008, to discuss snow removal issues. The Service Director and
<br />Streets Foreman are asked to attend.
<br />Councilman Ryan scheduled an Infra-Governmental Relations Committee meeting for 6:30 p.m.
<br />on Thursday, April Z 0, 2008 to discuss Resolutions 2008-45 and 2008-47. The Mayor or his
<br />representative is asked to attend.
<br />With the agenda being completed and there being no further business to come before Council,
<br />President Kennedy adjourned the Council meeting at 8:57 p.m.
