<br />MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />MARCH 18, 2008 <br />Present: President of Council Kennedy, Council Members Barker, Gareau, <br />Dailey Jones, Mahoney, Orlowski <br />Also Present: Mayor O'Grady, Law Director Dubelko, Finance Director Copfer, Clerk of <br />Council Seman <br />Absent: Council Members Kearney and Ryan <br />President Kennedy called the meeting to order at 8 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 <br />Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />The minutes of the Council meeting of February 19, 2008 were approved as written. <br />Councilman Orlowski made a motion to amend the agenda to remove Resolution Nos. <br />2008-23, 2008-41 and 2008-42. The motion was seconded by Councilman Gareau and <br />passed unanimously. <br />President Kennedy announced the following legislation would be considered for passage <br />under suspension of the rules: second reading, Ordinance 2008-34. <br />President Kennedy announced that public hearings would be held at 6:30 p.m. on <br />Tuesday, April 1, for Ordinance 2008-18; at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday, April 1, for <br />Ordinances 2008-36 and 2008-37; and at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 29, 2008 with regard <br />to Ordinance 2008-17. <br />On behalf of the administration and employees of the city, Mayor O'Grady extended <br />deepest condolences to President Kevin Kennedy and his family on the death of his <br />grandmother Kathleen Durack. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor O'Grady: 1) Congratulations to the Finance Committee and to Council Members <br />who participated in the annual appropriations review which was a shining example of <br />professionalism and decorum from both sides. Also, thanks to the city directors, both <br />elected and appointed, for their dedication in compiling the budget, and special thanks to <br />our outstanding Finance Director, Carrie Copfer, for her leadership. <br />a,, <br />s <br />
