.. <br />MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />OCTOBER 20, 2~9 <br />Present: President of Council Kennedy, Council Members Barker, Brossard, <br />Gareau, Dailey Jones, Kearney, Mahoney, Orlowski <br />Also Present: Mayor O'Grady, Law Director Dubelko, Finance Director Copfer, Clerk of <br />Council Gallo. <br />President Kennedy called the meeting to order at 8 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 <br />Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />Councilman Gareau made a motion to amend the agenda to remove 2009-126 from first <br />reading. The motion was seconded by Councilman Mahoney and passed unanimously. <br />Ordinance 2009-126 removed from the agenda. <br />The minutes of the Council meeting of October 6, 2009 were approved as written. <br />President Kennedy announced the following legislation would be considered for passage <br />under suspension of the rules: Second reading, Resolutions 2009-117, 2009-118, 2009- <br />121 and Ordinance 2009-123; First reading, Resolutions 2009-127 and 2009-128. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor O'Grady: 1) The North Olmsted Auto Mile event has been postponed due to <br />inclement weather. The unveiling ceremony for the North Olmsted Auto Mile's <br />streetscape banners is at 10 a.m. tomorrow at the North Olmsted Porsche Dealership on <br />Lorain Road. All are welcome to attend. This event is another example of the ongoing <br />partnership between the city, the city schools, and the business community. The banners <br />that are up for the Auto Mile in North Olmsted each have art that was created by the <br />North Olmsted High School art students. <br />2) The SeniorFest was held last week and was again a great success. Thanks to the <br />NOHS Sites program, the Senior Center staff, and the people at Springvale for putting on <br />this event. <br />3) Wednesday is the second annual Employee Health Care & Benefits Fair. In addition <br />to the flu shot program, Medical Mutual, who will be attending to provide information to <br />our employees, will conduct a health screening with Union Eye Care, AFSCME Care, <br />and LEAP. Benefit providers attending will be National City Insurance Groups, Ohio <br /> <br />
