i <br />4 <br />MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />OCTOBER 6, 2009 <br />Present: President of Council Kennedy, Council Members Barker, Brossard, <br />Gareau, Jones, Kearney, Mahoney, Orlowski <br />Also Present: Mayor O'Grady, Law Director Dubelko, Finance Director Copfer, Clerk of <br />Council Gallo <br />President Kennedy called the meeting to order at 8 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 <br />Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance led by Eagle Scout Christopher Szabo. <br />The minutes of the Council meeting of September 15, 2009 were approved as written. <br />President Kennedy announced the following legislation would be considered for passage <br />under suspension of the rules: second reading, Ordinances 2009-104, 2009-106; first <br />reading, Resolutions 2009-116, 2009-119, 2009-120, 2009-122. <br />Special Legislation: <br />Resolution 2009-116 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady and <br />the entire City Council. A Resolution commending the achievement by Christopher <br />Szabo of the Eagle Scout award in Boy Scouting. Councilman Gareau made a motion to <br />suspend the rule requiring three readings. The motion was seconded by Councilman <br />Barker and passed unanimously. Councilman Gareau moved for adoption. The motion <br />was seconded by Councilman Barker and passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 2009-116 <br />adopted. <br />Applause <br />The Resolution was presented to Christopher Szabo. <br />Mayor O'Grady pointed out that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree as far as <br />excellence is concerned. His father and his uncle are proud members of the City <br />Administration and serve nobly well in the Service Department. Thank you to them. <br />They are good families <br />.. eWy. <br />
