., <br />Council Minutes of 10-06-2009 <br />Resolution 2009-121 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. A <br />Resolution authorizing and directing the Director of Planning to make application on <br />behalf of the City of North Olmsted for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) <br />funds for the fiscal year 2010 for the emergency food cupboazd relocation project; further <br />authorizing the use of city funds as the local match; further authorizing the Mayor to <br />accept the grant if awarded; and to execute a contract with Cuyahoga County, and <br />declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution 2009-122 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to make application for a Livable <br />Communities Initiatives grant from the Northeast Ohio Areawide Coordinating Agency <br />(NOACA) for technical support in improving the intersections/signals at the Lorain- <br />Porter-Butternut Ridge Road and Lorain-Brookpazk Road intersections; further <br />authorizing the use of city funds for a twenty percent (20%) match; further authorizing <br />the Mayor to accept the grant, if awarded, and to execute a contract if required; finally <br />authorizing the Director of Service to execute all other non-contract documents necessary <br />to effectuate receipt of the grant, and declaring an emergency. Councilwoman Jones <br />motioned to suspend the rule requiring three readings. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Mahoney and passed unanimously. Council President Kennedy asked if <br />there was anyone in the audience that would like to address Council with regard to this <br />legislation. Councilwoman Jones moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Mahoney and passed unanimously. Resolution 2009-122 adopted. <br />Ordinance 2009-123 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. An <br />Ordinance amending the Traffic Control File of the City of North Olmsted to provide for <br />the installation and enforcement of a No Parking-Loading Zone sign on the tree lawn of <br />the residential property located at 6609 Cypress Avenue prohibiting parking at that <br />location between the hours of 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. weekdays. <br />MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS <br />Councilwoman Jones scheduled a Streets & Transportation Committee meeting for 6:50 <br />p.m. on Tuesday, October 13, 2009 to discuss 2009-123. The Safety Director is asked to <br />attend. <br />Councilman Kearney scheduled a Public Safety, Health, and Welfaze Committee meeting <br />for 7 p.m. on Tuesday, October 13, 2009 to discuss Codified Ordinance Section 505 <br />Animals and Fowl dog nuisance issues and two Liquor Permits. The Safety Director, Law <br />Director, Animal Warden, and invited guests are asked to attend. <br />Councilman Bazker scheduled a BZD Committee Meeting for 8 p.m. on Tuesday, <br />October 13, 2009.
