<br />C <br />MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />MARCH 3, 2009 <br />Present: President of Council Kennedy, Council Members Barker, Gareau, <br />Dailey Jones, Kearney, Mahoney, Orlowski. Councilman Brossard took <br />his seat at 8:06 p.m. <br />Also Present: Mayor O'Grady, Law Director Dubelko, Finance Director Copfer, Clerk of <br />Council Seman <br />President Kennedy called the meeting to order at 8:02 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 <br />Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />The minutes of the Council meeting of February 17, 2009 were approved as written. The <br />minutes of the special Council meeting of February 18, 2009 were approved as written. <br />The minutes of the special Council meeting of February 19, 2009 were approved as <br />written. <br />President Kennedy announced the following legislation would be considered for passage <br />under suspension of the rules: Resolution Nos. 2009-26, 2009-27, 2009-29, 2009-32 and <br />Ordinance No. 2009-33. <br />President Kennedy reported that the Committee-of-the-Whole had met at 7:22 p.m. today <br />with all of Council in attendance and directors Wenger, Farver and Dailey. The subject <br />was to discuss the vacancy of the Ward I seat, and Mr. Lou Brossard was interviewed. <br />The committee meeting was adjourned at 7:28 p.m. <br />Councilman Mahoney made a motion to appoint Mr. Lou Brossard as Ward I <br />Councilman for the city of North Olmsted. The motion was seconded by Councilman <br />Barker and passed unanimously. <br />Mr. Brossard came forward and was sworn in as Councilman of Ward I by Council <br />President Kennedy. Councilman Brossard was congratulated by all present. President <br />Kennedy commented that he has known Mr. Brossard and his family for a long time, and <br />he knows he will be a hard working Councilman who will represent his residents well. <br />Councilman Brossard thanked Council for the opportunity to serve Ward I and all the <br />residents of the city. He is excited and ready to get started. Councilman Brossard took <br />his seat at 8:06 p.m. <br />
