Council Minutes of 1/20/2009 Ordinance No. 2009-6 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman Gareau on behalf of Mayor O'Grady in his absence. An ordinance amending Section 1501.1901 of the City Taxation Code in order to temporarily reduce the City Income Tax Credit, and declaring an emergency. Resolution No. 2009-7 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman Mahoney on behalf of Mayor O'Grady in his absence. A resolution accepting a donation of field reconditions from the North Olmsted Hot Stove League in order to construct a dugout for Claque Road #l, provide for a maintenance contract for Diamonds #1 and #5 at North Olmsted Park and Diamonds #1 and #2 at Claque Road Park with an optional service for the construction and restoration of the :infield and right outfield for the city park at Chestnut Intermediate School and declaring an emergency. Resolution No. 2009-8 was introduced and placed on first reading by Council Member Dailey Jones on behalf of Mayor O'Grady in his absence. Councilman Ryan asked to be included as a sponsor, and President Kennedy agreed. A resolution accepting a grant, if awarded, from the Ohio Public Works Commission for the resurfacing of Dover Center Road and authorizing the Mayor to enter into a project agreement with the Ohio Public Works Commission setting forth the terms and conditions of the grant. Council Member Dailey Jones moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings and committee review. The motion was seconded by Councilman Mahoney and passed unanimously. He is hopeful that we move forward just as quickly as possible. The motion passed unanimously. Resolution No. 2009-8 adopted. Resolution No. 2009-9 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman Orlowski on behalf of Mayor O'Grady in his absence. A resolution authorizing the Director of Planning to file an application for a Community Recycling Awareness Grant from the Cuyahoga County Solid Waste District; further authorizing the Mayor to accept the grant, if awarded; and declaring an emergency. Ordinance No. 2009-10 was introduced and placed on first reading by Council Member Dailey Jones on behalf of Mayor O'Grady in his absence. An ordinance amending the Traffic Control File of the City of North Olmsted to provide for the removal of all signs prohibiting truck traffic and other classes of vehicle and vehicle load on Stearns Road, and declaring an emergency. Council Member Dailey Jones moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings and committee review. The motion was seconded by Councilman Kearney and passed unanimously.
