Council Minutes of 1/20/2009 <br />Ordinance No. 2009-6 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman Gareau <br />on behalf of Mayor O'Grady in his absence. An ordinance amending Section 1501.1901 <br />of the City Taxation Code in order to temporarily reduce the City Income Tax Credit, and <br />declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 2009-7 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman <br />Mahoney on behalf of Mayor O'Grady in his absence. A resolution accepting a donation <br />of field reconditions from the North Olmsted Hot Stove League in order to construct a <br />dugout for Claque Road #l, provide for a maintenance contract for Diamonds #1 and #5 <br />at North Olmsted Park and Diamonds #1 and #2 at Claque Road Park with an optional <br />service for the construction and restoration of the :infield and right outfield for the city <br />park at Chestnut Intermediate School and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 2009-8 was introduced and placed on first reading by Council Member <br />Dailey Jones on behalf of Mayor O'Grady in his absence. Councilman Ryan asked to be <br />included as a sponsor, and President Kennedy agreed. A resolution accepting a grant, if <br />awarded, from the Ohio Public Works Commission for the resurfacing of Dover Center <br />Road and authorizing the Mayor to enter into a project agreement with the Ohio Public <br />Works Commission setting forth the terms and conditions of the grant. Council Member <br />Dailey Jones moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings and committee <br />review. The motion was seconded by Councilman Mahoney and passed unanimously. <br />Council Member Dailey Jones moved for adoption, and the motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Mahoney. He is hopeful that we move forward just as quickly as <br />possible. The motion passed unanimously. Resolution No. 2009-8 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 2009-9 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman <br />Orlowski on behalf of Mayor O'Grady in his absence. A resolution authorizing the <br />Director of Planning to file an application for a Community Recycling Awareness Grant <br />from the Cuyahoga County Solid Waste District; further authorizing the Mayor to accept <br />the grant, if awarded; and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 2009-10 was introduced and placed on first reading by Council Member <br />Dailey Jones on behalf of Mayor O'Grady in his absence. An ordinance amending the <br />Traffic Control File of the City of North Olmsted to provide for the removal of all signs <br />prohibiting truck traffic and other classes of vehicle and vehicle load on Stearns Road, <br />and declaring an emergency. Council Member Dailey Jones moved for suspension of the <br />rules requiring three readings and committee review. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Kearney and passed unanimously.
