._, ~. ..:~.~ , . r , _ <br />,~ - <br />r <br />1.1.2 Operate the pilot <br />secondary clarified powdered <br />for at least three (3) Conti <br />the performance of the micro <br />filtration process. <br />_ _ w ,_ ,._~..... <br />'""*'~ <br />microscreen equipment using <br />carbon/activated sludge effluent <br />nuous weeks to obtain data on <br />screens as a tertiary solids <br />1.1.3 Analyze the results of the pilot tests and make <br />recommendations on the use of the North Olmsted microscreens <br />for tertiary filtration. <br />1.1.4 Submit the findings in a pilot plant report and <br />deliver twenty (20) copies to the City. <br />1.2 Design and Preparation of Construction Documents <br />1.2.1 Develop design philosophies regarding process <br />instrumentation and control, materials handling, standby <br />power, personnel facilities and architectural treatment in <br />cooperation with City wastewater treatment supervisory <br />personnel and the City Engineer. <br />1.2.2 Prepare a detailed basis of design, plant site <br />layout drawings, process-instrumentation schematic diagram, <br />and other elements deemed necessary for review and approval <br />of a general plan by Ohio EPA. <br />1.2.3 Plan for and obtain field information necessary <br />for design to include topographic or other field surveys, <br />and soils investigation including test borings with related <br />analyses and recommendations. <br />1.2.4 Design in necessary and usual detail the structural, <br />sanitary, architectural, hydraulic, mechanical, electrical <br />and other elements of the improvements establishing the <br />requirements of materials and equipment, therefore; and <br />prepare contract drawings for the improvements showing the <br />locations, elevations, arrangement and details of required <br />structures, equipment and facilities. <br />1.2.5 Prepare specifications setting forth the kind and <br />quality of various materials entering into the construction; <br />the type, capacity, operating requirements, and efficiency <br />of equipment and auxiliaries; pertinent test and guarantees <br />to be met; and similar information necessary to allow com- <br />petitive bids'for construction of the improvements. <br />Specifications will include advertisement, information to <br />bidders and forms for proposal, bond, and contract, and are <br />to be subject to the approval for the City's legal counsel <br />as to form and legal sufficiency and to State and Federal <br />Agencies having jurisdiction. <br />1.2.6 Prepare schedules of quantities, detailed probable <br />costs and final basic design data memorandum of the improve- <br />ments. <br />-2- <br />
