That the organization of the Fire Department shall consist <br />of not less than twenty (20) nor more than twenty-eight (28) sworn full- <br />time employees who are Certified Paramedics; and that effective September <br />1, 1980, and thereafter, any sworn full-time employee shall, while on <br />duty as a Certified Paramedic, be paid additional compensation at the <br />rate of $400.00 annually for all time spent as a Fireman/Paramedic, such <br />compensation to be paid by the Director of Finance on December 15th of <br />each year. <br />D. One (1) of the above officers, other than the Chief or the <br />Assistant Chief, shall be assigned to the Fire Prevention Bureau as Fire <br />Prevention Officer/Inspector and shall be paid additional compensation <br />at the rate of $450.00 annually for all time spent while assigned to the <br />Fire Prevention Bureau. <br />£. That excluding secretarial and clerical employees, a11' <br />full-time employees of the Fire Department having completed five (5) <br />years of full-time continuous service with the City, shall be paid an <br />additional four percent (4~) of their base annual salary, thereafter until <br />completion of the tenth (10th) year of continuous full-time service, <br />after which such employee shall receive five percent (50) of their base <br />annual salary, thereafter until the completion of the fifteenth (15th) <br />year of continuous full-time service, and thereafter six percent (6~) of <br />their base annual salary until the completion of the twentieth (20th) <br />year of continuous full-time service, and during each year of full-time <br />service thereafter they shall receive seven percent (70) of their base <br />annual salary as longevity increments. <br />F. In computing length of service for the purpose of making <br />payments of longevity increments hereinabove set forth, no credit shall <br />be given for part-time service, but such limitation is only for the purpose <br />of computing longevity increments and the exclusion for part-time service <br />shall not deprive any employee of any other benefits which may be due for <br />part time service as employees in the Safety Department. <br />~G. In addition to the regular base salary plus increments and other <br />wage increases, all regular employees of the Fire Department, including <br />officers, shall on their original appointment and during the first calendar <br />year of their appointment, receive Three Hundred and Fifty Dollars ($350.00) <br />clothing allowance, and shall during each calendar year thereafter <br />receive a clothing allowance of Three Hundred Seventy-Five Dollars ($375.00). <br />Said allowance shall be controlled by the Chief, however, any employee <br />may purchase regulation clothing and be reimbursed upon presentation of a <br />satisfactory receipt. <br />H. That all full-time employees of the North Olmsted Fire Department <br />excluding secretarial and clerical help, shall be entitled to certain <br />holidays during the year and shall not be required to work on these holidays <br />unless scheduled to work by the Fire Chief. In the event the employee <br />either works or was not scheduled to work for reasons other than holiday <br />leave on one of the following holidays, then the employee shall receive <br />another day off from work to replace the holiday he worked, or was not <br />required to work for reasons other than holiday leave. The scheduled <br />holidays are as follows: New Year's Day; President's Day; Memorial Day; <br />Independence Day; Labor Day; Thanksgiving Day; Christmas Day; Veteran's Day; <br />the employee's birthday; and the employee's personal use day. <br />s <br />
