CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE N0. 80-70 BY: MRS. PETRIGAC AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF FAIRVIEW PARK WHEREIN THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED IS TO SERVE AS LEAD AGENCY IN AN APPLICATION FOR A GRANT AMENDMENT TO PERFORM A SEWER SYSTEM EVALUATION SURVEY AND TO PERFORM OTHER NECESSARY MATTERS FOR A FEDERAL GRANT UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF THE CLEAN WATER ACT AMENDMENTS OF 1977, IN CONNECTION WITH IMPROVEMENTS AND ADDITIONS TO THE WASTEWATER TREATMENT AND SANITARY SEWERAGE FACILITTES OF OLMSTED TOWNSHIP, AS PART OF THE AREA KNOWN AS THE NORTH OLMSTED FACILITY PLAN. WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted has completed a Step 1 Facility Plan for wastewater collection and treatment in the North Olmsted Facility Planning Area, and WHEREAS, sections of incorporated areas in the City of Fairview Park which are tributary to and served by the municipal sewer systems in the City of North Olmsted were determined to be subject to possible excessive infiltration and inflow according to the cost-effectiveness analysis presented in the Facility Plan, and WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted is being considered as a single entity for the purpose of Federal funding in connection with a sewer system evaluation survey to identify sources of excessive infiltration and inflow. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION l: That the Mayor be and he is hereby directed to enter into an agreement with the City of Fairview Park to apply for a grant amendment application for Federal funds to assist in performing a sewer system evaluation survey. SECTION 2: That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from an after the earliest period allowed by law.
