~. ~. <br />y <br />'ITEM I <br />AGREEMENT <br />THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED AND THE CITY OF FAIRVIEW PARK <br />THIS AGREEMENT made and entered into this day <br />of 1980, by and between the communities of <br />North Olmsted and Fairview Park, municipal corporations organ- <br />ized and existing under the Constitution and Laws of the State <br />of Ohio, duly authorized by the following ordinances passed by <br />their respective Councils: <br />North Olmsted Ordinance No. <br />the day of , 1980. <br />on <br />Fairview Park Resolution No. on <br />the day of 1980. <br />WHEREAS, the Municipalities each own sanitary sewer <br />systems; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted has completed a <br />Step 1 Facility Plan for wastewater collection and treatment <br />in the North Olmsted Facility Planning Area, and <br />WHEREAS, it was determined that the collection system <br />was subject to possibly excessive infiltration and inflow accord- <br />ing to the cost-effectiveness analysis presented in the Facility <br />Plan, and <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council of North Olmsted and <br />Fairview Park desire to obtain a Federal grant to assist in per- <br />forming a sewer system evaluation survey to identi-fy sources of <br />excessive infiltration and inflow, and <br />WHEREAS, each Municipality desires to retain their own <br />consulting engineer to assist in performing a sewer system <br />evaluation survey in their respective communities, and <br />WHEREAS, the U.S. EPA desires that the application for <br />funding be submitted as a single grant application, and <br />WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted has been designated <br />as the lead agency to apply for a grant amendment to perform a <br />sewer system evaluation survey. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the premises and <br />of the mutual covenants, hereinafter set forth, and of other <br />good and valuable considerations, the Municipalities do hereby <br />promise and agree as follows: <br />SECTION 1: The City of Fairview Park agrees that the <br />City of North O msted shall serve as lead agency in applying for <br />grant application for a sewer system evaluation survey. <br />-1- <br />
