M ~ 3 ~. CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE N0. 80- 55 PAGE 10. 1221.10 Administrative Provision (A) A lication for Permit - When Required. A permit shall e require or al permanent signs i the sign exceeds four (4) square feet in area. (B) Form and Content - Applications for permits to erect, p ace, paint or alter a sign shall be made by the owner or lessee of the property upon which a sign is proposed and submitted on forms furnished by the Building Official; the application shall be made either separately or included with a permit for a building. The fee shall be established by separate ordinance. Each application shall be accompanied by drawings to scale showing: 1. The design and layout proposed including the total area of the sign, the size, character and color of letters, lines and symbols. 2. The method of illumination, if any. 3. The exact location of the sign in relation to the building and property. 4. Details and specifications for construction, erection and attachments as may be required by the Building Code. (C) Removal of Sins - Whenever the removal of any sign has een or erect-by the Building Official and the person, firm, or corporation on whose premises such sign or display structure has been erected, affixed, attached, or maintained, shall fail to remove the sign within forty-eight (48) hours after receiving such notice, said Building Official may remove or cause to be removed such sign at the expense of the person, firm, or corporation, on those premises it was erected, affixed, or attached, and each person, firm, or corporation shall be individually and separately liable for the expenses incurred in the removal of such sign. SECTION 2: That the Clerk of this Council be and she is hereby directed-to cause a notice of a Public Hearing hereon to he given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 of Article IV of the Charter of this City. SECTION 3: That after submission of this Ordinance to the Planning~ommission of the City for its opinion and recommendation, and after Public Hearing as specified in Section 2 hereof, and after its passage pursuant to the Charter of this City, the Zoning Code of the City of North Olmsted shall be amended as specified in Section 1 hereof.
