CIfiY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 80- 48 <br />PAGE 5 <br />SECTION 10: Eye Care <br />As soon as can be implemented the City of North Olmsted <br />shall provide eye care to the employees of the North Olmsted Municipal <br />Bus Line,on a cost parity basis,as provided to the employees of the <br />Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority. <br />SECTION 11: Tool Allowance <br />That effective June 1, 1980, all full-time maintenance <br />employees, of the following classifications, Mechanic Equipment, <br />Mechanic Leader, and Mechanic Apprentice; shall receive an annual <br />allowance of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) for the purchase of <br />tools and related equipment, necessary in the performance of their <br />work with the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line. <br />SECTION 12: Bus Operator Seniority <br />That there is hereby created a seniority system whereby <br />the operator having the most seniority respectively, shall have <br />the first choice of runs and so on down the list until all runs <br />are filled. Any runs which are not picked for any particular day <br />shall be assigned to the first extra operator for that day from the <br />bottom of the seniority list. The date of service for an operator <br />will start after completion of the prescribed training program. <br />Any extra work not assigned (after assignment to extra <br />list operators) shall be presented to the most senior operator on <br />his/her day off, provided he/she picked that day as willing-to- <br />work and an emergency situation does not exist. <br />SECTION 13: Operator, Pull-Out and Pull-In <br />Operators are allowed ten (10) minutes for vehicle pull- <br />out and ten (10) minutes for vehicle pull-in on a scheduled run. <br />SECTION 14: Accident Reports <br />Operators shall be paid thirty (30) minutes for completing <br />accident reports, (determined by management discretion) provided <br />he/she complied with the rules of the North Olmsted Municipal Bus <br />Line concerning the handling of accidents. <br />No part of this thirty (30) minutes shall be used to re- <br />cover 6 or 8 hour bonus time, and it shall not be a part of daily <br />or weekly overtime or weekly guarantee time. The thirty (30) minutes <br />shall be paid at a straight-time rate. <br />SECTION 15: Management Agreement <br />The City of North Olmsted recognizes that by virtue of <br />the Management Agreement that the City has with the Greater Cleveland <br />Regional Transit Authority, benefits paid to the North Olmsted <br />Municipal Bus Line employees cannot exceed the value of benefits <br />paid to the employees of the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit <br />Authority. <br />SECTION 16: Employee Responsibility <br />That all employees of the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line <br />are mandated by governmental obligation to provide essential public <br />transportation services to contracted areas and to the citizens of <br />North Olmsted. <br />SECTION 17: That Ordinances Numbers 78-15 and 79-18 are <br />hereby specifically repealed and any other ordinances or parts of <br />ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. <br />
