Effective January 1, 1981, the various salaries shall be fixed <br />as follows: <br />Chief of Police $30,781.00 Annually <br />Captains $27,240.00 Annually <br />Lieutenants $24,764.00 Annually <br />Sergeants $22,513.00 Annually <br />Patrolmen - First Year $15,011.00 Annually <br />Patrolmen - Second Year $18,723.00 Annually <br />Patrolmen - After Second Year $20,466.00 Annually <br />C. Any sworn full-time employee shall, while on duty as Plainclothes <br />Detectives, be paid additional compensation at the rate of $400.00 annually <br />for all tine spent as Plainclothes Detectives or as Juvenile Officers. <br />D. That all full-time sworn employees of the Police Department hav- <br />ing completed five (5) years of full-time continuous service, as employees <br />of said Department, shall be paid an additional four percent (4%) of their <br />base annual salary; thereafter until completion of the tenth (10th) year of <br />full-time continuous service, after which such employee shall receive five <br />percent (5Z) of their base annual salary; thereafter until the completion <br />of their fifteenth (15th) year of full-time continuous service, such employee <br />shall get six percent (6;6) of their base annual salary until after the com- <br />pletion of the twentieth (20th) year of full-time continuous service, and <br />during each year of full-time service thereafter they shall receive seven <br />percent (7X) of their base annual salary as longevity increments. <br />E. In computing length of service for the purpose of making payments of <br />longevity increments hereinabove set forth, no credit shall be given for part- <br />time service, but such limitation is only for the purpose of computing lon- <br />gevity increments and the exclusion for part-time service shall not deprive <br />any employee of any other benefits which may be due them for part-time ser- <br />vice as employees in the Safety Department. <br />F. In addition to the regular base salary, plus increments and other <br />wage increases, full-time sworn employees of the Police Department, shall <br />on their original appointment and during the first calendar year thereafter <br />receive a clothing allowance of three hundred fifty dollars ($350.00) in <br />1980 and three hundred seventy-five dollars ($375.00) in 1981, to be deter- <br />mined and disbursed by and with the approval of the Police Chief of the <br />Department. <br />G. That effective July 22, 1976, the City of North shall pay <br />the full aaount for the hospitalization insurance costs of all full-time <br />employees of the North Olmsted Police Department with either Blue Cross and <br />Medical Mutual Hospitalization Plan or the Kaiser Community Health Founda- <br />tion Plan. Nothing contained herein shall be construed so as to afford <br />said coverage to either Auxiliary Police, School Guards, or other part-time <br />or temporary employees. <br />H. That all full-time sworn employees of the North Olmsted Police De- <br />partment shall be entitled to certain holidays during the year and shall not <br />be required to work on these holidays, unless scheduled to work by the Chief <br />of Police. In the event the employee either works or was not scheduled to <br />work for reasons other than holiday leave on one of the following holidays, <br />then the employee shall receive another day off from work to replace the <br />holiday he worked or was not required to work for reasons other than holi- <br />day leave. The scheduled holidays are as follows: <br />New Year's Day; President's Day; Memorial Day; Independence Day; <br />Labor Day; Thanksgiving Day; Christmas Day; Veteran's Day; the <br />employee's birthday; and the employee's personal use day. This <br />provision does not apply to Auxiliary Police or School Guards. <br />
