~- <br />-.., <br />Ordinance 2009-142 <br />shall also, when necessary as determined by the Director of Law, assist the City Prosecutor. The <br />duties of the Assistant Director of Law -Part Time shall be to serve as the City's Fair <br />Housing Administrator and provide other and appropriate legal and related services to the City's <br />Fair Housing Review Board. All of the time spent by the Assistant Director of Law -Part Time <br />shall be spent on matters relating to the City's Fair Housing Program. <br />(c) The third assistant director of law shall be known as the City Prosecutor. Like the <br />Assistant Director of Law -Part Time, this shall be a part-time position also. The City <br />Prosecutor shall act on behalf of the City or the State of Ohio in the prosecution of felony and <br />misdemeanor offenses occurring in the City of North Olmsted, and shall perform such other <br />duties as are required by law of municipal prosecutors. <br />(d) The Legal Secretary shall be a full-time position and shall provide secretarial services <br />to all of the attorneys in the Law Department. <br />(e) One of the Department's three law clerks shall be designated as the Prosecutor's Law <br />Clerk, and the other two law clerks shall be designated as Civil Law Clerks, serving the Director <br />of Law and the Assistant Directors of Law. The City Law Clerks shall be paid on an hourly <br />basis. <br />BE AMENDED, AND, AS AMENDED, SHALL READ AS FOLLOWS: <br />137.01 COMPOSITION <br />(a) The Law Department of the City, as provided for in Article V, Section 2 of the City <br />Charter, shall be headed by the Director of Law. The employees of the Department shall consist <br />of t~r~ee up to four Assistant Directors of Law, a legal secretary and up to three law clerks, all of <br />whom shall be appointed by and under the supervision of the Director of Law. All of the <br />Assistant Director of Law positions shall be part-time. Each of the assistant directors of law <br />shall be an attorney in good standing with the Ohio Supreme Court and licensed to practice law <br />in the State of Ohio. The law clerks shall be law students at an accredited law school, or <br />graduates from an accredited law school. <br />(b) ~e Up to one of the assistant directors of law shall be known as, :ear°~~~ti~ the <br />Assistant Director of Law - Civil I ~'~~', and up to two others shall be known as tie <br />Assistant Directors of Law -Civil II ~~e. These Assistant Directors of Law shall <br />primarily assist the Director of Law in the performance of his duties, and shall also, when <br />necessary as determined by the Director of Law, assist the City Prosecutor. The duties of one of <br />the two Assistant Directors of Law -Civil II n.~'"~i~ shall be to serve as the City's Fair <br />Housing Administrator and provide other and appropriate legal and related services to the City's <br />Fair Housing Review Board.
