6.08 Any member of the bargaining unit who is ordered to duty but subsequently released <br />prior to reporting shall receive pay for one hour. <br />6.U9 The Employer realizes that employees are permitted to schedule time off for vacations <br />and paid holidays. The Employer will do everything possible to see that the employee will get <br />time off that is picked in accordance with department policy as established by the Chief of <br />Police. The Employer will not cancel, except in an emergency any time picked during the <br />original vacation and paid holiday picks. <br />The Employer also realizes that employees may take other vacation time and paid <br />holidays that are not addressed above. In addition, time off is permitted in the form of overtime <br />off and unused sick leave time off. The Employer will do everything possible to see that the <br />employee will get this time off except in an emergency or at the request of the employee. <br />ARTICLE VII <br />WAGES <br />7.01 Effective January 1, 2009 through January 1, 2012, all employees shall be paid in <br />accordance with the following schedule: <br /> Hourl <br />Patrolman-First Year 21.68 <br />Patrolman-Second Year 23.40 <br />Patrolman-Third Year 25.13 <br />Patrolman-Fourth Year 26.85 <br />Patrolman-Fifth 29.55 <br />Sergeant 33.39 <br />Lieutenant 3 6.89 <br />Captain 40.78 <br />7.02 All Sergeants shall maintain a thirteen (13%) percent differential between their base rate <br />of pay and the base rate of pay of the highest paid patrolman. <br />7.03 All employees holding the rank of Lieutenant shall maintain a ten and one-half (10.5%) <br />percent differential between their base rate of pay and the base rate of pay of the highest paid. <br />Sergeant. <br />7.04 All employees holding raiil< of Captain shall maintain a ten and one-half (10.5%) percent <br />differential between their base rate of pay and the base rate of pay of the highest paid <br />Lieutenant. <br />7.05 Any employee shall, while on duty as a plain clothes Detective or Juvenile Officer, be <br />paid additional aruiual compensation at the rate of one thousand seven hundred ($1,700.00) <br />dollars. <br />7.06 Any employee while on duty as an Evidence Technician and/or Field Training Officer <br />shall be paid additional aiviual compensation at the rate of eight hundred ($800.00) dollars. <br />Compensation shall be paid upon assigiunent to the position. <br />
