~., .,.~ <br />Ordinance No. 2009-96 <br />(o) Golf. No person shall cause a golf ball to be propelled by hitting the same with a <br />golf club within the public parks or recreation areas of the City. <br />(p) Campfires and Cooking No person shall keep or maintain or light a campfire or <br />cooking fire in an area other than that designated and established within the park area. No <br />person shall permit any fire to be left unattended and must completely extinguish the fire before <br />leaving the area. <br />(q) Travelling_Public Shows and Carnivals. To the contrary notwithstanding the <br />adoption of Chapter 701 of the Business Regulation Code regulating travelling public shows and <br />carnivals, no such activity regulated thereby shall be permitted in any public park within the <br />City, with the exception that the annual carnival in North Olmsted Park which has heretofore <br />been known as "Homecoming" and was heretofore sponsored by the Community Council will be <br />permitted as per Chapter 701 of the Business Regulation Code, but shall not exceed four days in <br />length of operation. <br />(r) Bicycles Prohibited in Skate Park. No person shall operate, ride or otherwise <br />possess or use a bicycle at the North Olmsted Skate Park. <br />SECTION 2: That all ordinances and resolutions, or parts of ordinances and resolutions, <br />that are inconsistent or in conflict with new section 947.01 of Chapter 947 of the Streets, Utilities <br />and Public Services Code are repealed to the extent of such inconsistency or conflict only. <br />SECTION 3: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and further <br />for the reason that it is necessary that this Ordinance go into effect immediately in order to <br />protect the health and safety of children in the community who use the Skate Park; and further <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take <br />effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor <br />PASSED: ~: ~,..~;u ~~ ~ UO % First Reading: ~ ~' 4 <br />l~ Second Reading: rJ <br />Third Readin c <br />Committee: .~„ , op' ~~~~~ <br />AT ST.• ,r. <br />,• <br />;` , <br />L.
