;r.. <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION N0.2009 - 48 <br />BY: Mayor O'Grady <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A <br />CONTRACT WITH OLMSTED TOWNSHIP PROVIDING FOR THE <br />TRANSFER, POSSESSION, UTILIZATION AND MAINTENANCE COST <br />OF AN ACU 1000 TACTICAL RADIO UNIT, AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Director of Public Safety that the City enter <br />into a contract with Olmsted Township providing for the transfer, possession, utilization and <br />maintenance cost of an ACU 1000 tactical radio unit in order to promote the safety of the North <br />Olmsted community; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council, acting upon the recommendation of the <br />Director of Public Safety, to authorize the Mayor to enter into such a contract to promote the <br />safety of the North Olmsted community; <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: The Mayor be and he is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with <br />Olmsted Township, consisting of two (2) pages and entitled a "Sharing Agreement between City <br />of North Olmsted, Ohio and Olmsted Township for Use of 1,000 ACU Tactical Radio Unit," a <br />copy of which is attached hereto and marked Exhibit "A." <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and for the <br />reason that it is necessary that this Resolution go into effect immediately for imminent safety <br />reasons, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the <br />Mayor. <br />PASSED: ~ .r First Readin1 <br />Second Read <br />Third Readir <br />Committee: <br />ATT T: <br />f ~`~ ~/ <br />f ~, ~ <br />L. <br />Clerk of Council <br />a <br />y,-~-2--- ,~ ~/l-~ '- <br />KEVIN M.
