CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED RESOLUTION N0.2009 - 48 BY: Mayor O'Grady A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH OLMSTED TOWNSHIP PROVIDING FOR THE TRANSFER, POSSESSION, UTILIZATION AND MAINTENANCE COST OF AN ACU 1000 TACTICAL RADIO UNIT, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Director of Public Safety that the City enter into a contract with Olmsted Township providing for the transfer, possession, utilization and maintenance cost of an ACU 1000 tactical radio unit in order to promote the safety of the North Olmsted community; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council, acting upon the recommendation of the Director of Public Safety, to authorize the Mayor to enter into such a contract to promote the safety of the North Olmsted community; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: The Mayor be and he is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Olmsted Township, consisting of two (2) pages and entitled a "Sharing Agreement between City of North Olmsted, Ohio and Olmsted Township for Use of 1,000 ACU Tactical Radio Unit," a copy of which is attached hereto and marked Exhibit "A." SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and for the reason that it is necessary that this Resolution go into effect immediately for imminent safety reasons, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.
