<br />Pa°_e 2 CSLP Agreement <br />that students may not work and the Agency will not be reimbursed for any hours exceeding 8 hours per day, nor for an}~ hours <br />exceeding 20 hours per week during academic periods or 40 hours per week during academic breaks (including summer break.. if <br />the student is not enrolled in classes). The Agency also acknowledges that students must maintain a minimum of si}; academic <br />credit hours. Any student in violation of these requirements is subject to loss of eligibility under Federal regulations. <br />8. The Agenc}~ is the employer of record and its work rules apply except as they may violate Federal Work Study <br />guidelines. <br />9. Students working more than 4 hours must be offered a meal break. Students scheduled to work more than 6 hours <br />straight must be provided at least ahalf--hour unpaid break. This break must be reflected on the student's timesheet. <br />10. The Agency shall issue all paychecks to the student in apre-determined, timely and regular manner, and shall have sole <br />responsibility for the payment of all time worked over and above the Federal Work Study award amount authorized by the <br />University. Such payments over and above the work award amount shall not be reimbursed by the University. The Agency will <br />be responsible for the withholding and payment of all pertinent taxes, including workers compensation statutes. The Agency will <br />provide a W-2 statement to the student for all hours worked. The W-2 must reflect total compensation and taxes withheld. <br />10. Transportation for students to and from work assignments will not be provided by either the University or the Agency. <br />11. Students may be removed from work on a particular assignment or from the Agency by the University, either on its own <br />initiative or at the request of the Agency. Written notice will be provided, and unless the student becomes ineligible because of <br />Federal law, at least seven (7) days notice will be provided. <br />12. The Agency agrees that no student will be denied work or subjected to different treatment under this Agreement on the <br />grounds of race, color, religion, national origin, disability, handicap, disabled veteran status, Vietnam era veteran status, or gender. <br />It further agrees that it will comply with the provisions of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (Pub. L. 88-352) and Title IX of the <br />Education Amendments of 1972 (Pub. L. 92-318) and the regulations which implement those Acts, as well as applicable <br />provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act (Pub. L. 101-336) and any implementing regulations for that Act. <br />13. The Agency represents that the work for which the students will be used would not otherwise be provided and will not <br />result in the displacement of employed workers, nor impair existing contracts for services. The Agency also represents that the <br />student's work will be directly related to the Community Services performed by the Agency. <br />14. The Agency will insure, at the Agency's expense, said student(s) under Worker's Compensation statutes of Ohio. <br />15. The University shall have no responsibility for any liability to third parties due to the acts or omissions of students while <br />in the performance of duties under the direction and control of the Agency. <br />16. This agreement may be terminated by either party on thirty (30) days written notice. <br />17.
