a <br />,,, <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2009 - 36 <br />BY: Mayor O'Grady <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER <br />INTO A CONTRACT WITH CINTAS CORPORATION TO <br />PROVIDE UNIFORM RENTAL SERVICES TO THE CITY'S <br />SERVICE DEPARTMENT EMPLOYEES, AND DECLARING <br />AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the City, per its collective bargaining agreement with the City's <br />Service workers, is required to provide uniforms to employees who so request; and <br />WHEREAS, the Service Director has had requests for uniform service from <br />Service Department employees and, after obtaining quotes from three prospective <br />vendors, recommends that the City enter into a contract with Cintas Corporation <br />("Cintas"), a Nevada corporation authorized to conduct business in Ohio, to provide such <br />requested service; and <br />WHEREAS, the total expenditure in this proposed contract is an amount that is <br />less than the minimum amount for mandatory competitive bidding; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council, acting upon the said <br />recommendation, to authorize the Mayor to enter into a contract with Cintas to providE <br />said services to the City; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he hereby is authorized to enter into a <br />contract with Cintas Corporation to provide uniform rental services to the City's Service <br />Department employees. Said contract shall be in the form of the document entitled <br />"Cintas Standard Uniform Rental Service Agreement," marked as Exhibit A, and attached <br />hereto, with only such changes to said contract to be hereinafter made as are not <br />substantially adverse to the City and which are approved by the Director of Law. The <br />character of any such changes as not being substantially adverse to the City shall be <br />evidenced conclusively by the execution of the agreements by the Mayor and the approval <br />of the agreements by the Director of Law. <br />
