....,.?...at?„ :,....... , >.,,._?-.?..v.µF.,?,,..:>.?.., ....._, . .. .. . <br />NQW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE C(JUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTIUN 1: That the Council of the City of North Olmsted supports and hereby <br />encourages the Congess of the United States to pass House Bi112955, entitled the <br />"Displaced Workers Assistance Act;" House Bill 2946, the "D?isplaced Workers Relief <br />Act of 2401;" and Senate Bili 1454, the "Displaced Workers Assistance Act of 2001," <br />which all of which aze designed to provide income support, with some also including <br />worker training and health care benefits, to workers in the airlines and related industries <br />who have lost, or who will lose their jobs, as a result of the September 11th attack on <br />America. <br />SECTION 2: That the Clerk of Council is hereby directed to forward a copy of <br />this Resolution immediately upon its passage and approval to Congressman Kucinich and <br />to the foliowing State of Ohio officials: Governor Bob Taft, State Senator Robert Spada <br />and State Representative Sally Conway Kilbane. <br />SECTION 3: Tha.t this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public hea.lth, safety and <br />welfare, and for the further reason that it is necessary that this Resolution becomes <br />effective immediately so that it may be conveyed to Congress in time to be considered <br />prior to the votes on these bills, and further provided that it receives an affirmative vote <br />of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately <br />upon its passage and appraval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: K"C. 1 <br />?' ?a?? <br />IARA L.
