CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2001-107 <br />BY: COUNCIL MEMBERS GEORGE NASHAR AND PAUL MII..LER <br />AN ORDINANCE CREATING NEW CHAPTER 959 OF THE PIIBLIC SERITICES <br />CODE, ENTITLED "SALE OF SURPLUS REAL PROPERTY," IN ORDER TO <br />REQUIRE THAT CITYRESIDENTS, WHOSE PROPERTIES ABUT CITY-OWNED <br />REAL PROPERTY, RECEIVE PRIOR NOTIFICATIDIV OF THE CITY'S INTENT TO <br />SELL SURPLUS REAL PROPERTY, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, from time to time, the City sells surplus real property which is no longer needed <br />for municipal purposes; and <br />WHEREAS, residents of the City whose properties abut such real property may, from a <br />practical perspective, be affected by its sale; and <br />WHEREAS, input from such residents regarding the proposed sale of such real property <br />owned by the City may be beneficial not only to these residents, but, as well, to the City as a whole; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, it is accordingly the desire of this Council to require that prior notification of <br />proposed sales of City-owned surplus real property be given to residents whose properties abut such <br />City-owned property; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE eITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That there be and is hereby created a new Chapter 959 of the City Public <br />Services Code, entitled "Sale of Real Property," which as created shall read in its entirety as follows: <br />CHAPTER 959 <br />SALE OF SURPLUS REAL PROPERTY <br />959.01 Notice to Residents.
