Secfion 3. The City shall provide the Union with a copy of the seniority (ists and these <br />lists shall be updated every six (6) months. The seniority lists shall be made up by <br />classifications and shall contain in order of date of hire, the name, department, date of hire and <br />classificafion seniority date of each empioyee. Seniority lists shail be posted on each Union <br />Bullefin Board. <br />Section 4. Continuous service and seniority shall be broken when an employee: <br />(a) Quits or resigns; <br />(b) is discharged for just cause; <br />(c) is laid off for a period equal to the amount of seniority held at <br />the time the lay-off commences, or forty-eight (48) consecutive <br />months, whichever is less; <br />(d) Faiis to report to work within seven (7) calendar days when <br />recalied from !ay-off 6y certified maii addressed to the employee's <br />last known address as shown on the City's records, unless the employee is unable to work due <br />to medically proven tlisability; <br />(e) Is absent without report for fhree (3) consecutive work days, unless the employee has a <br />reasonabie excuse for failing to <br />report the absence. <br />Section 5, The City shall advise the Union in writing of additions to or deletians from the <br />seniorifiy list at the end of each .pay periad when the action took place. A copy of the (ist of <br />additions and/or deletions wiil be sent to the Local Union President and the Local Union <br />Treasurer. <br />, ARTICLE 10- HOURS OF WORK <br />Section 1. The normal week for regular full-time bargaining unit employees of the City <br />Hail, Fire Department, Division on Aging, Recreation Department and Police Department shall <br />be forty (40) hours of work in five (5) days of eigh# (8) consecutive hours per day, inclusive of <br />fime aliotted for meais during the period, providing the employee works a total of five (5) nours, <br />unless an ernergency occurred.
