JOB DESCRIPTION: <br />POSITI4N T(TLE: <br />DEPARTMENT; <br />RESPONSIBLE T0: <br />MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: <br />MAINTENANCE (Recreation Department) <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY <br />MAINTENANCE FOREMAN <br />Experience in general maintenance and janitorial requirements as related to Parks and Recreation <br />grounds and facilities, Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions. Must have graduated from <br />High School or equivalent in experience. Ability to make decisions during emergencies or when problems arise. <br />Knowledge of proper use of tools, light equipment. Possession of a valid operators license. <br />DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: <br />1, Maintain and operate equipment involved in Park ground and facility operations. Includes, but is not <br />limited to, pool filtration systems, chlorinator pumps, lawn movers, tractors, trucks, welder, zamboni <br />and compressor. <br />Responsible for proper functioning and use of maintenance equipment including zamboni, truck, lawn <br />mower, weedeater, tools, efc. <br />3. Responsible for the general grounds and building, and sport facilities upkeep. Maintenance and <br />janitorial tasks include floor care, painting, garbage disposal, grass cutting, window cleaning, <br />locker/restroom cleaning, landscaping, pool vacuuming, ice edging. ? <br />4 <br />6. <br />Perform general repairs and preventive maintenance procedures on equipment, structures, electrical, <br />plumbing and heating systems under the direction of the Maintenance Foreman. <br />Load and unload material from trucks. <br />Responsible for records tracking pool chemistry, filter operations, building temperature, humidity <br />controls, fuel and vehicle logs and equipment inspections. <br />Other related work as required. <br />72
