JOB DESCRIPTION: <br />POS[TION TITLE: HEAD CASHIER <br />DEPARTMENT: DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY <br />RESPONSIBLE T0; SECRETARY <br />MINlMUM QUALIFICATIONS: <br />Considerable experience in handling monies and keeping accurate stafistical records. Ability to operate <br />autamatic cash register with mulfi-unit counters, Ability to deal with the pubiic in an understanding and <br />dipiomatic manner. Varied background of experience in all areas of complex workings (pool, rink, pro-shop, <br />tournaments and tennis) is helpful because of variety of questions and problems directed to Head Cashier as <br />main receptionist in ficket booth. <br />DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES; <br />1. Coilect general admittance fee for the areas for which the patron wishes to use. <br />Collecf fee or check season pass before admifting anyone to any faci(ity. <br />3. Register customers according to estabfished procedures. <br />4. Maintain accurate building schedule book. <br />5. Take tennis reservations. <br />6. Keep accurate and separate income and attendance figures for all area, <br />7. Schedule ofher cashiers. <br />Maintain an acceptable appearance at all times as to both uniform and personal hygiene. <br />9. Responsible for answering all incoming phone calls and handling most circumstances before referral to <br />Supervisor, <br />10. Attend staff ineefing when scheduled. <br />11. See to it that cashiers mainfain an acceptable appearance as to both uniform and personai hygiene and <br />that they deai with the generai public in an understanding and dipiomafic manner, <br />12.
