Speeificafions <br />DOORS, SIDE COMPARTMENT <br />Seven (7) compartment doors shall be brushed anodized aluminum. Doors shall be double <br />faced, aluminum col-istruction and manufactured by Dover Roller Shutters, Ltd. <br />Lath sections shall be a driven ball and socket design and individually replaceable without <br />complete disassembly of door. <br />Between each lath at the pivoting joint shall be a fitted flexible seal for weather resistance. <br />Seals shall allow door to operate in extreme temperatures rangin? from plus 212 to minus 40 <br />degrees Fal-u-enheit. Synthetic rubber side, top, and bottom seals shall be provided to resist <br />ingress of dirt and weather. <br />:411 hinges, barrel clips, and end pieces shall be type-6 nylon. End pieces shall be riveted to <br />each lath. Nylon shall withstand temperatures from plus 300 to minus 40 deQrees Fahrenheit. <br />Hardened plastic shall not be acceptable. ` <br />A stainless steel Iift bar shall be provided for opening door. It shall be located at the bottom <br />of dooi- and have latches on tne outer extrusion of the door frame. A ledge shall be supplied <br />over Iift bar for additional area to aid in closing the door. <br />Doors shall be constructed from an aluminum box section with a wall thickness of .03937" <br />and a face depth of 1.30". Inside surfaces shall be smooth to prevent loose equipment from <br />jamming, on the inside. <br />To consei-ve space in compartment, the spring roller assembly shall not exceed 2.50" in <br />diameter. A roll-up door whieh retracts below compartinent ceiling (garage door style) shall <br />not be acceptable. <br />The header for the ro11 up door assemblv shall not exceed 4.00". <br />.A heavv-duty magnetic switch shall be used for control of "open compartment door" warning <br />li2hts. <br />COMPARTNIENTATFON RE4R <br />A roll-up door compartment above the rear tailboard shall be provided. <br />Interior dimensions of this compai-tment shall be 40.00" wide x 4738" hi?h x 25.88" deep in <br />the Iower 38.75' of height and 15.75" deep in the remaininc, upper portion. Depth of the <br />compartment shall be calculated with the compartment door elosed. <br />:A louvered, removable access pauel shall be furnished on the bac1L wall of the compartment. <br />Rear compartment shall be open into the rear side compartments. <br />Clear door opening of this compartment shall be 33.25" wide x 38.75' hiah. <br />Bidder <br />Compiies <br />Yes I No <br />Page 41
