SpeCifiCatiOriS <br />proper operation. <br />Tlze foam svstem shall be plumbed to the outlet per ?v'OFD instructions. <br />FOAM 'I'ANK <br />The foam tank shall be an integral portion of tbe polypropylene water taill.. The cell shall <br />have a capacity of 40 Qallons of foam. The foam cell shall not reduce the capacity of the <br />water tanlc. Eaeh foam ce11 shall have a 1,00" drain valve located inside the pump <br />eoinpartment accessible throuah a door oi7 the passenger's side pump panel. The foam eells <br />shall have a screen in the till dome and a breatner in the lid. <br />PUMP COMPARTMENT <br />The pump compartment shall be separate from the hose body and compartments so that each <br />i-nay flex uldependently of the other. It shall be a fabricated assembly of steel tubina; anales <br />and channels which supports both the fire pump and the side run?zii7g boards. ? ? <br />The pump compartment shall be mounted on the chassis frame rails with 1-ubber biscuits in a <br />four point pattern to allow for chassis frame twist. <br />Pump coznpartment, pump, plumbizza and gauge panels shall be removable from the chassis in <br />a single assembly. <br />PUMP MOUNTING <br />Pump snali be mounted to a substi-ueture which shall be mountied to the chassis frame rail <br />usin2 i-ubber isolators. The mounting shall allow chassis frame rails to flex independently <br />without damac,e to the fire pump. <br />PUMP CONTROL PANELS (Side Controi) <br />All pump eontrols aiid gauaes shall be located at the left (driver's ) side of the apparatus and <br />properly illarked. <br />The pump pai7e1 on the right (passenger's) side shall be removable with lift and turn type <br />fasteners. The left (driver's) side shall be fastened with screws. <br />The controi panels shall be 42.00" wide. <br />The gau2e aild control panels shall be two (2) separate panels for ease of maintenance. <br />The side aauge panel shall he ninged at the bottom witlz a full ienEth stainless steel hinge. The <br />fasteners used to hold the panel in the upright position shall be quarter-runi type. Vinyl <br />covered cable or chains sha11 be used to hold the gauge panel in the dropped position. <br />Polished stainless steel trim collars shall be installed around al1 inlets and outlets. <br />All push/pull discharge controls shall have stainless steel rods with a dialneter of .50". The <br />control rods shall pull straight out of the panel. The remote push/"pull control rods shall be <br />equipped ,vith universal joints to eliminate binding.
