SpeCifiCatiOriS proper operation. Tlze foam svstem shall be plumbed to the outlet per ?v'OFD instructions. FOAM 'I'ANK The foam tank shall be an integral portion of tbe polypropylene water taill.. The cell shall have a capacity of 40 Qallons of foam. The foam cell shall not reduce the capacity of the water tanlc. Eaeh foam ce11 shall have a 1,00" drain valve located inside the pump eoinpartment accessible throuah a door oi7 the passenger's side pump panel. The foam eells shall have a screen in the till dome and a breatner in the lid. PUMP COMPARTMENT The pump compartment shall be separate from the hose body and compartments so that each i-nay flex uldependently of the other. It shall be a fabricated assembly of steel tubina; anales and channels which supports both the fire pump and the side run?zii7g boards. ? ? The pump compartment shall be mounted on the chassis frame rails with 1-ubber biscuits in a four point pattern to allow for chassis frame twist. Pump coznpartment, pump, plumbizza and gauge panels shall be removable from the chassis in a single assembly. PUMP MOUNTING Pump snali be mounted to a substi-ueture which shall be mountied to the chassis frame rail usin2 i-ubber isolators. The mounting shall allow chassis frame rails to flex independently without damac,e to the fire pump. PUMP CONTROL PANELS (Side Controi) All pump eontrols aiid gauaes shall be located at the left (driver's ) side of the apparatus and properly illarked. The pump pai7e1 on the right (passenger's) side shall be removable with lift and turn type fasteners. The left (driver's) side shall be fastened with screws. The controi panels shall be 42.00" wide. The gau2e aild control panels shall be two (2) separate panels for ease of maintenance. The side aauge panel shall he ninged at the bottom witlz a full ienEth stainless steel hinge. The fasteners used to hold the panel in the upright position shall be quarter-runi type. Vinyl covered cable or chains sha11 be used to hold the gauge panel in the dropped position. Polished stainless steel trim collars shall be installed around al1 inlets and outlets. All push/pull discharge controls shall have stainless steel rods with a dialneter of .50". The control rods shall pull straight out of the panel. The remote push/"pull control rods shall be equipped ,vith universal joints to eliminate binding.
