Page 4 of 4 (d) Eighteen (18) sets of plans and fifteen (15) project manuals shall be furnished to the City for bidding purposes. Additional sets shall be provided, if required, at cost. (e) An opinion ofprobable costs for the project, broken down into major compo- nents, shall be submitted prior to bidding. (f) The Engineer or his representative shall be available to answer questions regarding pians intent during bidding and construction. You may submit the price proposal in the format you deem most appropriate; however, the City prefers the proposal to include an amount not to exceed a specific dollar arnount for the design of the facility and a specific dollar amount for easement properties. You must also submit a Direct Labor Hour Estimate using a table prepared following a format similar to the format presented in the two enclosures. You may also include any standard terms and conditions of your proposals, rates for supplementary services, and any clari- fications or qualifications to the requested proposal, which you deem appropriate. It is the intent of the City to advertise for construction as soon as the design is completed. Therefore, the proposal must include a tentative schedule of the consultant's activities to complete the professional services. Plans showing existing utilities in the area are available for your review. Please submit two (2) copies of the proposal not later than Apri123, 2001 and direct your proposal to my attention for acceptance by the Mayor. If the proposal is satisfactory, it will be presented to City Council for authorization to the Mayor to enter into a contract for said services.
