Page 3 of 4 3. Pre-Design Services• (a) Coordination of owner-supplied data, including Engineering Department requirements. (b) Presentation to the City of preliminary layout plans, budget and schedule for review. 4. Draftin? Services: (a) Prepare plan and detail sheets at appropriate scales on 24" x 36" sheets. All survey points are to be included on the drawing. Show all storm and sanitaxy utilities in plan and profile. Plans shall indicate any areas on private property where grade of new improvements would necessitate such items as minor grading of lawn areas or replacement of a portion of driveways. (b) All lettering on the plan and detail sheets is to be done with drafting standards acceptable to the City. Drawings shall include a title sheet, general notes, typical sections, plan sheets, and detail sheets. (c) All final plans will be reviewed by the City. Submit two (2) interim copies of the plan sheets for review. 5. Detailed Design Document Services• (a) Preparation of design drawings and specifications for use in bidding and con- struction. The specifications shall be incorporated into a project manual which sha11 also include the advertisement, instruction to bidders, general conditions, bid forms, bond requirements, prevailing wage rates, affidavits, and other misc- ellaneous forms required for a bidding document. Final plans and specifications shall incorporate all changes required in review of preliminary or intermediate plans. (b) All design drawings shall be done using an electronic program which is com- patible with the AutoCAD cO Version 12 program. A diskette or diskettes, if necessary, formatted in AutoCAD C Version 12 containing a file for each final design drawing prepared during the project shall be submitted to the City. (c) Work shall be coordinated with utility companies as necessary. The City Engineer shall be copied in all correspondence to utility companies.
