M <br />' ~ Version 12 containing a file for each final design drawing and final design <br />detail prepazed during the project. <br />5. tailed j~es~ Document Services <br />a. Prepazation of design drawings and specifications for use in bidding and <br />construction. The specifications shall be incorporated into a Project Manual <br />which shall also include the advertisement, instruction to bidders, general <br />conditions, bid forms, Bond Requirements, Prevailing Wage Rates, <br />Affidavits, and other miscellaneous forms required for a bidding document. <br />Final plans and specifications shall incorporate all changes required in review <br />of preliminary or intermediate plans. <br />b. Work shall be coordinated with utility companiesas necessary. <br />'~. c. Eighteen (18) sets of plans and fifteen (15) bound and Project Manuals shall <br />be furnished to the City for bidding purposes. Additional sets shall be <br />provided, if required, at cost. <br />d. An opinion of probable costs for the project, broken down into major <br />components, shall be submitted prior to bidding. <br />e. The Engineer or his representative shall be available to answer questions <br />~~ regazding plan intent during bidding and construction and shall assist the City <br />in the evaluation of all bids received. <br />`~ You may submit the price proposal in the format you deem most appropriate; however, <br />the City prefers the Proposal to include an amount not to exceed a specific dollaz amount <br />for the design of the facility and a separate amount for the easement reseazch and <br />preparation. You may also include any standazd terms and conditions of your Proposals, <br />rates for supplementary services such as construction observation, and any clazifications <br />or qualifications to the requested Proposal which you deem appropriate. Please include a <br />_~ tentative schedule of the proposed activities to complete the requested services. <br />a~ It is anticipated that the contract for engineering services will be entered into as soon as <br />possible after review of all proposals. It is required that the design work be completed by <br />_ December 31, 1997, with bidding taking place in January, 1998. <br />Plans showing existing utilities in the area are available for your review. <br />Please submit the Proposal not later than September 2, 1997 and direct your Proposal to <br />the attention of the Service Director, Ralph H. Bohlmann, for acceptance by the Mayor. <br />If the Proposal is satisfactory, it will be presented to City Council for authorization to the <br />Mayor to enter into a contract for said services. <br />
