located upon or constituted as an integral part of a main building shall <br />not exceed a height of twice the width of the side or rear yard but not <br />more than 100 feet above the finished grade. Towers for supporting <br />commercial antennas for wireless communication purposes shall <br />also comply with Chapter 1167. <br />(4) Lighting. Flood lighting or other lighting of playfields, buildings, bulletin boards <br />and parking areas shall be located and designed so as to shield the light <br />source from adjoining residences, and, except for general lighting, shall <br />be extinguished between 11:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. of the following day." <br />SECTION 4: That Section 1 118.03 of the Zoning Code, which currently reads as <br />follows: <br />"1118.03 BUSINESS AND INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT STANDARDS. <br />(a) The proposed use is necessary to serve the community needs, and existing similar <br />facilities located in a less restrictive or more remote district in which the use may be permitted by <br />right are inadequate; <br />(b) The proposed use is not closer than appropriate in the particular situations to schools, <br />churches and other places of assembly; <br />(c) The location, extent and intensity of the proposed use shall be such that its operation will <br />not be objectionable to nearby dwellings by reason of greater noise, smoke, dust, odors, fumes, <br />vibrations or glare than is normal or is permitted by the performance standards of the district; <br />(d) The proposed use shall form a harmonious part of the Business and Industrial District <br />taking into account among other factors, convenience of access and relationship of one use to <br />another; <br />(e) The proposed use shall be permitted in a more restrictive district than in which it is <br />permitted by right only because of its limited extent, modern equipment and processes; and. <br />(f) The hours of operation and concentration of vehicles in connection with a propased use <br />shall not be more hazardous or dangerous than the normal traffic of the district." <br />be amended, and, as amended, shall read as follows: <br />" 1 118.03 BUSINESS AND INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT STANDARDS. <br />(a) The proposed use is necessary to serve the community needs, and existing similar <br />facilities located in a less restrictive or more remote district in which the use may be permitted by <br />right are inadequate; <br />(b) The proposed use is not closer than appropriate in the particular situations to schools, <br />churches and other places of assembly; <br />-.~~~ ~-..... ~ ..~~~,„6~,~..,,, , <br />
