CHAPTER 763 <br />Video Surveillance <br />763.01 Definitions. 763.04 <br />763.02 Monitoring required. 764.05 <br />763.03 Standards for Video Surveillance. 763.99 <br />761.01 DEFINITIONS. <br />Exemptions. <br />Periodic Inspection. <br />Penalty. <br />(a) "Large retail parking area" is defined as any parking area which (1) does or is <br />intended to provide space for the parking of more than five hundred (500) vehicles, and (2) is <br />used for retail purposes. <br />(b) "Owner" is defined as the owner of record for any parcel of land on which a large <br />retail parking area is wholly or partially located. <br />(c) "Parking area" is defined as a lot or structure which is commonly or primarily used <br />for the short- or long-term parking of motor vehicles, including, but not limited to, automobiles, <br />trucks, semi-tractor trailers, and recreational vehicles. <br />(d) "Responsible party" is defined as a person, entity, organization, or corporation <br />which is responsible by law, contract, lease, or otherwise, for the maintenance and operation of a <br />large retail parking area. <br />(e) "Retail purposes" is defined as serving, supporting, or used in connection with any <br />commercial business at which goods are sold or services rendered, regardlesss of the zoning <br />district of the City in which the business is located. <br />763.02 MONITORING REQUIRED <br />All owners of large retail parking areas in the City, and all other responsible parties <br />thereof, shall continuously monitor such parking areas by video surveillance. Video surveillance <br />for such parking areas shall be on a twenty-four hours per day, and seven days per week, basis, <br />and shall be performed at all times in accordance with the standards set forth in Section 763.03 of <br />this Chapter. <br /> <br />
