NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor and Council hereby reaffirm their support for the CDBGP and call <br />upon Congress to continue its commitment to same at increa~d budgetary authorization levels.. <br />SECTION 2: That the Clerk of Council is hereby directed to forward copies of this Resolution <br />to U.S. Senators John H. Glenn and Michael DeWine; U.S. Representatives Sherrod Brown, <br />Dennis Kucinich, Steven LaTourette and Louis Stokes; Secretary of the U.S. Department of <br />Housing and Urban Development, Andrew Cuomo; Statewide Coordinator, HUD Columbus Area <br />Office, Deborah Williams; Area Coordinator, HUD Cleveland Area Office, Douglas Shelby; <br />Director, Cuyahoga County department of Development, Steven Sims. <br />SECTION 3: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure immediately <br />necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety, and welfare of the City, and for the <br />further reason that it is immediately necessary for the Mayor and Council to reaffirm their support <br />for the outstanding CDBGP and call upon the U. S. Congress to continue its own support of same. <br />SECTION 4: This Resolution shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and <br />approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: -~~- ~7~ ~~~7 <br />ATTEST.• <br />lARBARA L.
