. ." <br />K. Hot Tub or Spa: A hot tub or spa shall be equipped with a suitable <br />cover which can be securely fastened and locked when not in use. <br />(Ord. 92-165. Passed 4-6-93.) <br />1305.05 SUPPLEMENTAL STANDARDS. <br />The following standards are supplemental to and shall be construed to constitute a part of <br />the One and Two Family Dwelling Code adopted under Section 1305.01: <br />(a) Postir~ Notice of Annhcation• Immediately upon application for a building permit <br />signed by the owner or his authorized agent, which application shall be filed <br />with the Building Commissioner on forms furnished by him, the Building <br />Commissioner shall cause to have erected upon the property for which a <br />permit is applied for a sign which shall have a notice thereon as follows: <br />"A building permit applied for, plans and plat showing the elevation and <br />grading to be as established on file in the office of the Building <br />Commissioner, City Hall." Such sign shall remain on the premises for which <br />a permit has been applied for, for a period often days after the date of the <br />application for the permit. In all instances in which the proposed <br />construction increases the area or cubic content of a building, or involves a <br />building covered by a roof, or such application is for original construction <br />of a roofed structure designed for use as a shelter for persons, animals, <br />chattels or property of any kind, or a combination of such uses, or if such <br />construction effects drainage unto or over an adjoining property in any way, <br />the ten day waiting period referred to shall be mandatory. It shall be <br />mandatory that upon making an application for a permit required under the <br />Dwelling Code, other than for electrical work, plumbing work, heating <br />appliances and the installation of any other equipment in a structure <br />governed by such Code, that the plans and specifications shall be filed with <br />the Building Commissioner and remain available for inspection by any person <br />at the office of the Building Commissioner during the ten day waiting period <br />together with a plat of such property for which application for a building <br />permit is requested. Such plat shalt show the proposed elevation and grade <br />to be established. <br />Upon the filing of an application for a permit and during the ten day waiting <br />period referred to, the Building Commissioner or his authorized inspector <br />shall make an inspection of the property to be improved and determine the <br />elevation and grade requested to be established on the premises involved will <br />not be injurious to adjoining property. <br />Any property owner or person who has reason to believe that the proposed <br />elevation and grade may be hazardous or injurious by virtue of a proposed <br />change in elevation or grade, or in the construction contemplated by the <br />application for a building permit, may file objections with the Board of <br />Building Code Appeals. The Board shall, upon receipt of such protest, <br />notify the applicant and the objector of the date for a hearing hefore the <br />Board on such objections which shall not be more than two weeks after the <br />filing of such written protest. <br />
