J4B CLASSIFtCATION <br />RESPONSlBLE TO <br />MAINTENANCE <br />MECHANIC <br />MAINTENANCE FOREMAN <br />CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES OF THE CLASSlF1GATION: <br />This is skilled work in the construction, maintenance and repair of inechanical <br />equipment, machinery, apparatus and facilities at the North Olmsted Wastewater <br />Treatment Plant and Wastewater pumping stations. <br />The job classification Maintenance Mechanic, involves responsibility by the <br />employee for the performance of a variety of repairs and maintenance tasks in <br />maintaining the efficient and effective operation of pumping stations and the <br />Wastewater Trea#ment Plant. <br />Employees within the job classification Maintenance Mechanic sha11 be able to <br />use a considerab(e variety of bench, hand and machine tools requiring accuracy <br />and precision. Assignments are made to specific jobs and generally include <br />sketches, blueprints, oral and written instructions. <br />Work performed by employees within the job classification Maintenance <br />Mechanic is usually performed in cooperativn with, or under supervision, of an <br />Assistant Superintendent who gives detailed assistance on difficult and/or <br />comp(ex jobs; however, more routine work is performed with considerable <br />independence.
