Monitoring the City's underground storage tank gauging system. Ordering fuel when necessary. <br />Generate monthly reports from monthly maintenance reports and distribute ail reports to each <br />department. Maintaining and updating the Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS). <br />Schedule pickups for recyclabies and the refrigera#or dumpster. <br />Responsible for making sure the personnei accident reports and unusual incident reports are <br />completed properly and sending them to the Director's Office and the Personnel Office. <br />In the absence of the Fleet Manager: Responsible for making decisions, acting on them without <br />direction and completing the daify paper work. <br />Gather and organize information for meetings that Fleet Manager attends. <br />Take minutes at meetings when needed. <br />Keep alf records of projects, ordinances, meetings and complaints. <br />May supervise and coordinate work of secretary II personnel. Shall assist in evaluating <br />performance of Secretary II personnel. <br />Computer applications in the following programs and areas for everyday use: <br />Word, Excei, Lotus, Basic MS-DOS <br />RTA Vehicle Maintenance Software <br />Phoenix Fuel Management Soffinrare <br />Starcomm Heating and Cooling System Software <br />Petrovend Underground Storage Tank Gauging System Software <br />Access Commercial and Operators Driver's License Information <br />Daily and monthly tape backing up procedures, mail merging to create parts labels, macros, <br />cleaning of the computer system and fuel card readers. <br />Special Skills, knowledge and abilities: <br />Knowledge of general office procedures. Knowiedge of assigned departmental policies and <br />procedures. Ability to communicate effectively and exercise professional telephone etiquette. <br />Ability to operate standard office equipment including computers. Skills in typing and ward <br />processing. Ability to work independently with minimum supervision. Ability to handle highly <br />confidential information in a responsible manner and to deal effectively with the public and other <br />City employees. Must excel in English, composition, spelling, grammar and punctuation. Ability <br />to perform more than one task at a time.
