Each cecis3cn aMil <br />be transmitted to the grievant and hfs representative, it any. <br />c) If a grievance affects a qroup of employees workfaq in <br />different Iocations, with different principals, ar sssciciateci <br />with an employer-wide controversy, it may be submitted in Step <br />3. <br />d) Nothing contained herein shaZl be canstrued as limiting the <br />right of any empZoyee having a grievance to discuss #:he matter <br />informally with any appropriate member of the adm3.nistration <br />within the chain of command of the Police Department and <br />having said matter informally adiusted without the <br />intervention of the OPBA, provided that the adjustment is not <br />inconsistent with the terms of this Agreement. In the event <br />that the grievance is adjusted without formal detenaination, <br />pursuant to this procedure, while such adjustment shall be <br />binding upon the grievant and shall, in a21 respects, be <br />final, adjustment shall not create a pr.ecedent or ruling <br />binding upon the Employer in futu=e proceedi.ngs. <br />e) The grievant may choose whomever he wishes to represent him at <br />any step of the grievance procedure after Step 1. <br />f) The existence of this Grievance P=ocedure, hereby established, <br />shall not be deemed to require any eatployee to pursue the <br />remedies herein provided and shall not impair or limit the <br />riqht of any employee the right to pursue any other remedies <br />available under law, except that any employee that pursues any <br />,
