ARTICLE 22 <br />UNIFORMS AND ALLOWANCES <br />Section 22.01 The employer shall establish a uniform dress code for ail full-time bus operators. In <br />consideration of that dress code, the employer agrees to pay the following allowance to each bus <br />operator and dispatcher/driver in the foilowing amount as a Clothing and Cleaning Allowance. <br />BLS Operator Clothing( 1 Aning allow nce: <br />Effective January l, 1998, the employer will pay $500.00 <br />Effective January 1, 1999, the employer will pay $510.00 <br />Effective January 1, 2000, the employer will pay $520.00 <br />This payment to full-time bus operators and dispatcher/drivers will be paid one-half (1/2) in the <br />month of January and one-half (1/2) in the month of July. Employees receiving a clothing/cleaning <br />allowance will be subject to the uniform dress code regulations published by the Employer. Failure <br />of an employee to compiy with the uniform dress code shall be subject to disciplinary action by the <br />employer. Bus Operators receiving payment in accordance with this Articie shall also be subject to <br />the terms and conditions contained in Sections 22.05 and 22.06 of this Article. <br />Section 22.02 Effective January 1, 1998 or as soon as possible after date of ratification, the <br />Emplayer shall furnish a clean uniform to full-time mechanics, material handlers, equipment <br />servicers, and hostlers on the basis of five (5) clean uniforms each work week. Employees covered <br />by this section shali be required to wear such Employer provided uniform during working hours. All <br />uniforms provided by the Employer in accordance with this section shall be returned to the Employer <br />upon termination of employment. <br />Section 22.03 Mechanics and Equipment Servicers Allowance: <br />Effective June 1, 1998, the employer wiil pay $450.00 annually <br />Effective June 1, 1999, the employer will pay $460.00 annually <br />Effective June 1, 2000, the employer will pay $470.00 annually <br />Full-time Mechanics and full-time equipment servicers shall receive the above referencad allowance <br />for the purchase of toois and safety shoes (per O.S.H.A. and/or employer standards). Mechanics and <br />Equipment Servicers covered by this section shall be required to wear such safety shoes while <br />working. Failure to wear such safety shces shall subject the empioyee to disciplinary action by the <br />employer. Mechanics and Equipment Servicers receiving payment in accordance with this section, <br />shall be subject to the terms and conditions established in Sections 22.05 and 22.06 of this Articie. <br />Section 22.04 Hostlers and Material Handlers Allowance: <br />Effective January 1, 1998, the employer will pay $200.00 annually. <br />Effective January l, 1999, the employer will pay $200.00 annually <br />Effective January 1, 2000, the employer will pay $200.00 annually <br />Full-time Hostlers and full-time material handlers shall receive the above referenced allowance for <br />the purchase of safety shoes (per O.S.H.A. and/or employer standards). Employees covered by this <br />section shall be required to wear safety shces while working. Failure to wear such safety shces shall <br />subject the employee to disciplinary action by the employer. Hostters and Material Handlers <br />receiving paymqnt in accordance with this section, shall be subject to the terms and conditions <br />established in Sections 22.05 and 22.06 of this Article. <br />Section 22.05 Any employee that is eligible to receive an allowance as provided in sections <br />C-W 22.01, 22.03 or 22.04 of this Artic(e; and said employee is off work for any reason with or without <br />compensation except, in cases vacation time off or termination; for operators a period of time in <br />is <br />
