Graduate Studies Civil Engineering, 1991-1992 <br />ENOIN@ERS Graduate Studies Business Administration, 1985-1987 <br />B.S., Civil Engineering, 1976 <br />Mr. Adams has worked on highway design, bridge design, rehabilitation of railroad tracks, airport <br />runway improvements, and various sitework projects. His involvement has included pavement and <br />roadway design, utilities, site grading, drainage, specifications, and construction management. <br />His most recent design experience includes: <br />Relocation of State Route 164 in Carroll County, Ohio. The detailed design was <br />preceded by an alignment study and a report presenting four feasibte corridor <br />routes including flood plain studies and public hearings. Final contract documents <br />included roadway plans for the1.5 mile relocation, structure drawings for one <br />bridge over a stream and one over railroad tracks, and right-of-way plans. <br />Northeast Corridor Improvement Project (NECIP) which encompassed the <br />rehabilitation of existing railroad tracks from Washington, D.C. to Boston, <br />Massachusetts. Mr. Adams participated in the alignment design, drainage, trackbed <br />ballast sections, typical se;ctions, and utilities accommodation for approximately 55 <br />miles of the NECIP. He also worked on the development of field reconnaissance <br />studies for drainage and roadbed stability. <br />Danville Expressway (Route 265) in Danville, Virginia for the Virginia <br />Department of Transportation. Preliminary and final engineering design for all <br />drainage systems of this new rural and urban four lane limited access Highway <br />265. The section is nine miles long with various interchanges, and connects U. S. <br />Route 58 to U.S. Route 29 in Pittsylvania County. <br />Tobacco Row Streetscape Improvements, City of Richmond, Virginia. The work <br />consisted of reconstructing and widening East Cary Street; improving East Main <br />and East Franklin Streets, and all north-south streets from 21st to 26th Street; and <br />relocation of Dock Street. The design included providing new inlets, catch basins <br />and drainage facilities, utility rearrangements, handicapped access ramps, skid <br />resistant pavement, specifications and cost estimates. <br />Renovation of an existing warehousing facility for the development of the <br />Opera.tions Center for the City of Richmond, Virginia, Department of Public Utilities: <br />Due to the inadequate capacity of the infrastructure to handle the storm
