employee's absence. For purposes of this subsection, "immediate family" shall be <br />interpreted to be spouse, children, parents of the employee, regardless of the place of <br />residence; and other relatives living within the household of the employee. <br />ARTICLE 15 <br />BEREAVEMENT LEAVE <br />All employees shall be granted Bereavement Leave according to the following <br />schedule: <br />15.1 Upon the death of an immediate family member, five (5) days; and, <br />15.2 Upon the death of a family member three (3) days. <br />15.3 For the purposes of this article, immediate family member shall mean: <br />Husband, wife, cluld, parent, brother or sister of employee and parents of spouse of the <br />employee. <br />Family member shall mean: Brother or sister of spouse, grandparents, <br />grandparents of spouse, grandchild as well as any relative living in the employee's home. <br />15.4. Bereaveme,nt leave shall be exclusive of sick time or any other accumulated <br />time. <br />ARTICLE 16 <br />GRIEVANCE PROCEDURE <br />16.1. The term "grievance" shall mean an allegation by a bargaining unit <br />employee that there has been a breach, misinterpretation, or improper application of this <br />agreement. <br />16.2. A grievance may be filed by any member of the bargaining unit VVhere a <br />group of bargaining unit members desire to file a grievance involvin.g a situation affecting <br />(22) <br />
