NON-DISCRIMINATION The Engineer shall not discriminate against any <br />employee or applicant for employment on the basis of race, color, creed, religion, <br />sex, national origin, ancestry, handicap, age, or martial status. Such action shall <br />include, but is not limited to, the following: employment, upgrading, demotion, <br />or transfer; recnutment or recruitment advertising; layoff or termination; rates of <br />pay or other forms of compensation; and selection for training, including <br />apprenticeships. <br />The Engineer shall, in all solicitations or advertisements for employees placed by <br />or on behalf of the Engineer, state that all qualified applicants will receive <br />consideration for employment without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sex, <br />national origin, ancestry, handicap, age or marital status. <br />The Engineer agrees that it shall fully cooperate with the City, any of its officials, <br />and any other official agency of the State or Federal government which seeks to <br />eliminate unlawful employment discrimination, and with all other City, State, <br />and Federal efforts to assure equal employment practices under this Agreement; <br />and the Engineer shall comply promptly with all requests and directions from the <br />City or any of its officials in this regard, both before and during performance of <br />the work. <br />In the event of the Engineer's noncompliance with the Non Discrimination clauses <br />of this Agreement, this Agreement may be canceled, terminated, or suspended in <br />PAGE 3 of 6 <br />
