.,.r?. <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 98-24 <br />BY: MAYOR NORMAN T. MUSIAL <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH SCHMIDT COPELAND <br />PARKER STEVENS TO PROVIDE ARCHITECTURAL 5ERVICES FOR THE DESIGN <br />OF OLD TOWN HALL IMPROVEMENTS AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor has recommended that the services of the firm of Schmidt <br />Copeland Parker Stevens be hired to accomplish the aforesaid services due to their expertise in <br />this field; and <br />WHEREAS, upon the recommendation of the Mayor, this Council does hereby express <br />its desire to have the Mayor enter into a contract with said firm for and on behalf of the City. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and directed to enter into an <br />agreement with Schmidt Copeland Parker Stevens to provide architectural services for the design <br />of the Old Town Hall Improvements. A copy of said agreement is attached hereto and made a <br />part hereof and marked Exhibit "A". <br />SECTION 2: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and for the <br />reason that it is immediately necessary to proceed with the architectural services for this project <br />and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it <br />shall take effe,et?and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor <br />PASSED: <br />i <br />ATTEST: <br />?-?--? <br />r$arbara L.
