GErtERAL FROJECT REQUIItEMENTS <br />All woric will conform to the requirements stated in the Request for Proposal dated Jartuary 26, <br />1998, included at the end of this Secdon. in general, the work will consist of removing the <br />exiscing asphait wearing course, performing necessary concrete base and joint repairs, and <br />providing a new asphalt concrece surface. Exiscing curbs and underdrains will be replaced. Stomn <br />sewer manhoies and catch basins witl be reconswcted, repaired or replaced. The following <br />services will be provided: <br />l. Field Survev <br />? <br />The tield survey wili be performed to minimize survey work, the project base plans will be <br />compiled from eacisdng records. The surveyor will estabiish the road centerline in the field, and <br />obtain profile grade elevations at SO' intervals. The right-of-way lines will be established ftom <br />record infonnadon. The pians devefopeci from the record information will be field verified. Flow <br />line elevaaons will be obtained at ail accessible storm sewer manholes and ca;tch basins. <br />Horizflntal and vertical controts will be documented and clearly shown on the pian drawings. <br />2. Pre-Design rvi t <br />The tirsc design task will be the preparation of a conceptual plan to delineate the main aspects of <br />the work and t,o presenc altemarives for maincaining traffic. The preliminary concept plan, budget <br />and schedule will be presented to the City for review. <br />3. Desi rvicet <br />All drawings will be prepared on 24" x 36" sheets, using ieaering standards, symbols, layouts and <br />comrencions used by the Ohio Deparcmenc of Transportation and the Cuyatoga County Engitetr, <br />if acceQtable tro the Ciry of Norch Otmsted. A list of the actticipated drawings is listed with the <br />cost proposal in Section 3. Appiicable scarxiard details and consauction drawirgs from the 4hio <br />Depanment of Transportacion and the Cuyahoga County Engineer will be incorporated in the <br />project drawings. For specifications, we will refer m the 1997 Consnuction and Material Specifications of the 4hio <br />Depanment of Transponazion. Any deviations or amplifications to these sQecificatiotts will be <br />included in the Pmject Matsal, which wiil also contain the advertimment, instuction w biddets, <br />general conditions, bid forms, bond requirenxnts, prevailing wage rates, affidavits, and other <br />miscellaneous forms necessary to complete the bidding document. <br />, .... .n . _ ?.g <br />.? _ _ _ .
