<br />5• 12etaded D-esiga Document Services: <br />a. Preparation oi desien drawings and specifications for use in bidding and <br />constructlon. The specitications shall be incorporated into a Project Manual <br />which shall also include the acivertisement, instruction to bidders, general <br />conditions, bid forms. Bond Requirements, Prevailing Wage Rates, Affidavits, <br />and other miscellaneous farms required for a biddiag document. Final plans <br />and specifications shall incorporate all changes required in review of <br />preiiminary or intermediate plans. <br />b. Work shall be coordinaced xith utiliry compazues as neccssary. <br />Eighteen i 18) sets of plans and fifteen 115) 6ound and Projtct Manuals shall <br />be furnished to the Cicv ior biddine purposes. Add.itional sets shall be <br />ptovided, if re4uireci. at cost. <br />d. An opmion of probable costs for the project, broken down into major <br />companenu. snall be submitted pnor to bidding. <br />e. The Engineer or his representative shall be available to answer questions <br />regarding ptan incenc dunng bidding and construction and shall assist the City <br />in the evaluation of all bids received. <br />You may submit the pnce proposai in the focmat you deem most appropriate: however, <br />the City prefers che Proposal co include an amount not to exceed a specific dollar amount <br />far the design of the facilitv and a separate amount far easement research and preparation. <br />You may also tnciude anv scandard terms and conditions of your Pmposals, rates for <br />suppiementary services such as construction observation, and anv elatifieations or <br />qualificauons to the requcsted Proposal which you deem appropriate. Please include a <br />tentative schedule of the proposed activities to complete the requested services. <br />It is anticipated that the contracc for engineering services will be enttred into as soon as <br />possible after review of all proposals. It is required that the design work be completed by <br />3uly 1, 1998, with bidding taking piace in the summer of 1998. <br />Plans showing existing utilities in the azea are avaiiable for your review. <br />Please submit the Proposal not later than February 10, 1998 and direct your Proposal to <br />the attenuon of the Service Direccor. Ralph H. Bohlmann for acceptanee by the Mayor. If <br />the Proposal is satisfactory, it witl be presented to City Council for authorization to the <br />Mayor to enter into a contract for said services. <br />
