Polytech, Inc. was selected by the City of Richmond to pmvide professional services for the <br />improvement of various streets in the Tobacca Row Area. The improvernent area inctudes East <br />Cary. East Main, East Franlclin and Dock Streets ruining east-west, and sueets running <br />north-souch from 21 st to 26th Street between East Cary and Franklin Streets. <br />Typical improvements to the above streets included: <br />• Reconsuuction and widening of East Cary Street <br />• Rmrfacing of streets <br />• Eaisting granite curbs reset and realigned <br />• Sidewaiks consisting of brick pavers set on concrete <br />• Selected secvons of pavemenc consuucted using ornamecmal precast concrete pavers <br />• Handicapped access ramps <br />• Pedestrian crosswalks at all incersecaons <br />• Necessary inlets, cauh basin and surface drainage facilities <br />• Ornamental lighting fixtures with underground conduits <br />0 Utitity reairangements <br />0 Street trees and tree grates <br />The scope of woric inciuded schematic design, design development, convact design drawings, <br />specifications and cost esrirnates. <br />
