? <br />• ? <br />? <br />Be and the same is hereby amended and as amended shall read as follows: <br />"(h) All measurements, tests and analyses of the characteristics <br />of waters and wastes to which reference is made in this Chapter <br />shall be determined in accordance with "Standard Methods", as <br />defined in Section 911.03(82), and in accordance with 40 CFR 136 <br />entitled "Guidelines Establishing Test Procedures for Analysis of <br />Pollutants", and shall be determined at the control manhole <br />provided or upon suitable samples taken at such control manhole. <br />In the event that no special manhole has been required, the control <br />manhole shall be considered to be the nearest downstream manhole <br />in the public sewer to the point at which the building sewer is <br />connected. Sampling shall be carried out by customarily accepted <br />methods to reflect the effect of constituents upon the sewage works <br />and to determine the existence of hazards to 1ife, limb and property. <br />The particular analysis involved wi11 determine whether a twenty- <br />four hour composite of a11 outfalls of a premise is appropriate or <br />whether a grab sample or samples should be taken. Normally, but <br />not always, BOD and TSS analyses are obtained from twenty-four <br />composites of all outfalls, whereas pHs are determined from <br />periodic grab samples. <br />Within 90 days following the date for final campliance with <br />applicable categorical pretreatment standards or in the case of a <br />New Source following commencement of the introduction of waste- <br />water into the treatment facility, any industrial user subject to <br />pretreatment standards and requirements sha11 submit to the City <br />a report containing the information described in 40 CFR 403.1 (b) <br />(4) _ (6)." <br />SECTION 5: Sec. 911.14(e) of the Codified Ordinances of the City <br />of North Olmsted, Ohio, which now reads as follows: <br />1°(e) Any substance having a quantity greater than the character- <br />istics described in Sec. 917.02(f)," <br />Be and the same is hereby amended and as amended shall read as follows: <br />"(e) Any substance having a quantity greater than the character- <br />istics described in Sec. 917.02(f), or any unlisted material with <br />pretreatment limits (State or Federal) at a quantity greater than <br />those limits." <br />SECTION 6: Sec. 911.99(a) of the Codified Ordinance of the City <br />of North Olmsted, Ohio, which now reads as follows: <br />"(a) Whoever violates any of the provisions of this Chapter, <br />except Section 911.15, shall be served by the City with written <br />notice stating the nature of the violation and providing a <br />reasonable time limit for satisfactory correction thereof. The <br />offender shall, within the period of time stated in such notice, <br />permanently cease all violations." <br />Be and the same is hereby amended and as amended shall read as follows: <br />"(a) Whoever violates any of the provisions of this Chapter, <br />except Section 911.15, shall be served by the City with written <br />notice stating the nature of the violation and providing a <br />- 6 -
